Violating or rejecting God's truth is called sin and it always leads to death, whether physical or spiritual. Sin begins as disbelief and leads to pride, which ultimately leads to disobedience. But if we seek Him first and His righteousness, all of the good things that God has for us will be provided, and we will desire to seek Him and believe in Him.

The greatest spiritual warfare that we deal with is bringing all of our thinking and actions into the obedience of Christ, and we are responsible for ourselves alone in what we allow in our own thoughts and lives. Listen to Pastor Carl's sermon on spiritual warfare!

The enemy is determined to steal, kill, and destroy anything that our Heavenly Father has sanctified and blessed, including the lives of believers. The devil eyes our weaknesses, uses subtlety to trick us, and perseveres in deceiving those who are called according to God's plan and purpose. But we can take a stand by focusing on Jesus and His love. When we focus on loving God with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength and by loving our neighbors as we love ourselves, we allow the devil little room to interfere when we concentrate on doing what is right.

The fact that we are tempted at all means that there is God's goodness inside of us, fighting the lies that the devil tries to deceive us with. But as God's children, temptation tempers us and causes us to grow, so that all things ultimately work for the goodness of those who love God.

"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." John 10:10

"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" 2 Corinthians 10:3-5

Despite the world's idea of truth, which changes with the blowing of the wind, God's truth remains unchanged and stands through every age. We are not called to judge, but to speak the truth in love. Our condemnation only drives people away from God, but it is the Holy Spirit that convicts us to repentance.
