As believers in Christ, we have much more than just the life we have now — with God's Holy Spirit inside of us, we have this life to explore the unfathomable riches of Christ and will take with us what we have done for Him into eternity. We often want to do things our way rather than God's way because we may feel embarrassed, uncomfortable, foolish, or believe that what we're told to do is a waste of time, but we often miss out on the miracles we need because we step away from the blessings which come through obedience. However, if we allow ourselves to be led and immersed in God's Spirit, we will begin to step into the baptized life where we are continually a blessing to others and are blessed by God.

Walking in the Spirit isn't a passive process where we ask God to do everything for us. Sometimes there are things that we don't see or aren't aware of, so God gives us spiritual eyes to make the right decisions in our lives. And as we commit ourselves to abiding in His Word and His Presence, we will be more aware of His voice and involvement in our lives to help us do what is right and pleasing to Him, which is ultimately for our blessing in the end.

We often look for the easiest route out of our difficulties, but God wants us to take the path that causes a complete change from the inside out — the path which brings us to a place of complete restoration. Please listen to Pastor Vic's sermon from this past Sunday!

Often we think of spiritual matters affecting the things around us in our lives, but much of our spiritual warfare happens in our very thoughts. When Jesus rode into Jerusalem upon the back of a donkey, He knew the hardship and pain that was to come in the next week — "for the joy that was set before Him, He endured the Cross." He was able to see through the trials and punishment to their end for the joy of salvation that is now available to us. And when we endure hardships , pain, and trials in our own lives, we can be assured that God will work everything for the good of those who love Him.
