When Jesus rode into Jerusalem upon the back of a donkey, He knew the hardship and pain that was to come in the next week — “for the joy that was set before Him, He endured the Cross.” He was able to see through the trials and punishment to their end for the joy of salvation that is now available to us. And when we endure hardships , pain, and trials in our own lives, we can be assured that God will work everything for the good of those who love Him.
