While this is difficult for a person to do on their own, the Holy Spirit enables us to accomplish great things in the Lord with a truly humble spirit.

While we all face bouts of indecision in trying to make the right choices, the double-mindedness that scripture refers to is when we choose to submit to the desires of our flesh and not the guidance of the Holy Spirit within. Yet despite these difficulties, God is faithful to encourage us and bless us as we choose to walk in His way every day.

The danger of comparing the journey God has given us to the lives of others is that we may forget the blessings we have by focusing on what we don't have. But when we abide in Jesus, our eyes will focus on the peace and contentment that He promises for every individual who puts their trust in Him.
