Good News from the Food Pantry!

This past Sunday morning, Ingrid Kulick shared with our congregation some news and information concerning how much our food pantry has been able to serve Dutchess County in the year of 2013. God has always been faithful in providing the food and funding required to keep the Food Pantry operating, and there was always a sufficient supply of provisions for every individual family who walked through our doors. Here are some statistics from the food pantry in 2013.

  • The food pantry was open 47 of the 52 Fridays of 2013.
  • Distributed 116,000 lbs. of food.
  • Provided food and provisions for 7,915 families.

Not only has the food pantry been a practical blessing, but a spiritual blessing to those in need. We offer prayer to those who ask, and many have reported back how God answered prayer concerning job situations and needs of healing.

Reach Out Food pantry has been an immense blessing to not only to the individuals and families in need, but also to those who volunteer and sacrifice their time to serve in this ministry. We have over thirty regular volunteers who assist and they have been just as blessed as those who come in need. This ministry has become a staple to Reach Out Church’s local impact, and we are praying to be a continual blessing to our local communities.
