Reach Out Church’s “Recharge” Service

This Saturday evening at 6pm we will be having our very first Saturday evening Recharge service! This service is geared towards college students and young adults in our area and will feature a coffee hour, live music, and an encouraging message. All are welcome to attend, so please feel free to join us! Please keep this 10 week long outreach in your prayers!

CareNet Fundraiser

The CareNet Pregnancy Center will be hosting a flapjack breakfast at Applebee’s across from Marist college on Saturday, March 1st from 8am-10am. The cost is $5 in advance and $6 at the door.

Welcome home, Pastor Vic!

Pastor Vic has safely returned from his three week trip to Pakistan! He had an amazing and blessed trip, and will be sharing more about it this Sunday!

Seder Service and Meal

We will be having a Seder service and meal on Wednesday, April 16th at 7pm. If you are interested in coming, please sign up in the foyer and signify how many family members will be coming with you. We hope that you can join us for this fun and educational service that includes a pot-luck meal! For more information, please see Pastor Tony Diuglio.

Men’s Getaway

We will be having our annual Men’s Getaway on April 25th-April 27th. The cost is $155 per person. If you are interested in attending, please sign up in the foyer. We will need a non-refundable deposit upon signing up to hold your spot! You may use an offering envelope to make the deposit for the trip and leave it in one of our offering boxes. Be sure to indicate on the envelope that it is for the Men’s Getaway. For more information, please see Al Kulick.

The CareNet Pregnancy Center will also be hosting their 28th Annual Fundraising Banquet on Friday, March 21st starting at 6pm in the Grand Ballroom of the Grandview in Poughkeepsie. If you are interested in attending either of these fundraisers, please contact Brenda Bovee to make reservations.

Girl Time With God

This is a fun filled event for the girls of Reach Out Church involving devotional time, prayer, snacks, games, and crafts! This will be taking place at the Bovee residence on Saturday, March 15th from 1pm-4pm. For more information and directions, please contact Rachel Bovee at 845-485-1647

Food Pantry Cancelled 02/21/14

With the inclement weather conditions, it is necessary to close the food pantry this day. Any regular volunteers, your help would be appreciated this upcoming Friday since it will be busier with the pantry being closed the last two weeks.

NYSUM Mission Trip this weekend

Our NYSUM mission team will be leaving Friday afternoon and ministering through Sunday to the less fortunate with New York’s School of Urban Ministry (NYSUM). Please keep the team in your prayers as for a blessed and effective weekend in the name of Jesus.

Our Wednesday morning “Search for Truth” Bible study is on an indefinite hiatus until further notice.

No Girl’s Club in January

There will be no Girl’s Club for the month of January due to the harsh weather. It will be announced when the club starts up again in February.

Benevolence offering this Sunday

Each quarter we set aside a Sunday to receive a special benevolence offering that goes to help those in need. We will receive this with our regular offering; if you would like to give towards our benevolence fund, please mark your offering envelope “benevolence”.

Reach Out Church Website Maintenance

Pastor Vic had recently shared a message entitled “Slaying Your Giant”. At the end of the message, the entire congregation was invited to anonymously write down the giants they face in their lives and put what they wrote into a basket. These hardships and struggles were then prayed over by our church leadership and prayer team. Brenda Golden, a member of our prayer team, was inspired by the Holy Spirit to illustrate what God does with these kinds of burdens. This illustration was shared this past Sunday morning, and Brenda also shared a testimony of how God had given her victory over the giants that needed to be confronted in her life throughout the years.

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
