Food Pantry winter schedule
Our food pantry will only be open one more day this month on Friday, December 18th but will be closed on December 25th & January 1st in observance of Christmas and New Years Day. It will be reopening on Friday, January 8th next month. Please also keep in mind that in the event of inclement weather, our food pantry closes whenever Hyde Park Central School district cancels school.
Wednesday evening Bible study winter break
Please be aware that our evening Bible study will not be meeting on Wednesday, December 23rd and December 30th in observance of the holiday season. Please join us again on January 6th when we start back up!
Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
You, your family, and your friends are welcome to join us this Christmas Eve at Reach Out Church to celebrate God’s greatest gift to the world, Jesus Christ. Our annual Candlelight Service delivers the Christmas message through music, a sermon, and our traditional candle lighting ceremony. All are welcome to attend. This service begins on December 24th at 7 p.m.
Holiday service schedule change
For the two Sundays following Christmas, December 27th and January 3rd, we will only have one service at 10am and no 8am service. Please join us as we come together as one family during this holiday season, and we will provide light refreshments following these services.
Our Giving Tree is filling up!
If you would like to be involved in helping out the homeless and less fortunate this winter, Reach Out Church is accepting winter accessory donations for our Giving Tree. Our Giving Tree is set up at the back of the church sanctuary every winter and we decorate it with gloves, mittens, hats, and scarves to collect for a donation. So if you’re out shopping this Christmas season or if you find yourself with extra winter apparel, please take the extra effort to bless those who have difficulty just to stay warm throughout these colder seasons.
After Christmas, we send the clothing to an organization which distributes our donation to those living on the streets and those in need. Clothing donations can be dropped off during office hours and on the weekend before and after our services.
Bless a local family this Christmas season
You can make an impact in our community by sponsoring a family to assist in providing food and gifts this Christmas season. Reach Out Church works with Hyde Park Community Cares to provide for families that cannot financially afford to bless their children this Christmas season. If you would like to be involved in this ministry, you can sign up on our list in the foyer, contact Cathy Kelly, or call the church office for more information at (845) 229-6080.
Upcoming Bible Studies in January
We will soon be offering our Foundations I & II classes and an Old Testament survey after the holiday season. These classes will help strengthen you as a believer and encourage you to develop your relationship with God. Specific dates to be determined.
Thirst: A devotional on the Book of James
We are happy to announce we have a new devotional written by our very own Nic Knapp, Gabby Knapp, and Pastor Jon Forster: Thirst! These five week devotionals are available in our bookstore and you can also order it on Amazon with this link.
Mission Trip to the Dominican Republic
We have another opportunity this January to send a missionary team to the Dominican Republic! If you are interested in this life changing opportunity, please sign up in the foyer or contact Randy Spadaro. Our team will travel from January 15th to January 25th.
This coming Wednesday, December 16th at 7pm we will have a Christmas potluck meal in lieu of our Bible study! All are welcome to attend! If you are planning on coming, please plan on bringing a covered dish and sign up in our foyer!

On November 26th, Thanksgiving day, Bucky and Brenda Golden will be hosting a family style meal in the annex. Anyone interested in attending is welcome to participate. The preparations will begin at 11am and the meal will be at 1pm. For more info, please see either Bucky or Brenda.
This Sunday we are collecting your baked Christmas Cookies which we will send to the college students abroad from Reach Out Church. We will have a drop-off in the church foyer and you can also drop cookies off before our college and young adult group this Tuesday, December 2nd between 6pm – 7pm.
We are happy to say that between donations from our church and our relay center, we have collected 625 shoeboxes (exceeding last years total!) which will be sent to bless children around the world this year.
This Sunday, November 8th, Pastor Pablo and Ana Loaisiga will speak at both of our 8am and 10am services. They have served as the hosts of our Nicaragua mission trips and have been involved with establishing thirteen churches in Nicaragua!
Please keep Pastor Vic in your prayers as he continues to minister to church leaders in India with the international ministry World MAP. We are believing for God to bless Pastor Vic’s travels and ministry! He will be returning next week!
We are happy to welcome back Pastor Billy Ng and his wife Laura Ng to both our 8am and 10am services this Sunday, October 25th. Pastor Billy and Laura are missionaries to Romania and have been faithfully serving over there for over 13 years!
Please keep our group of ladies from Reach Out Church in your prayers as they travel to and enjoy their Ladies Getaway at the Eddy Farms this weekend! We believe God will do an awesome work in them and bless their fellowship together!
